Pastor Jeremy & his wife Suzanne have 3 children and came to pastor Park Avenue in April 2022. Jeremy is from NI and became a Christian in Wales when a continual thought told him to, ‘read the Bible if it’s the last book you read.’ He had been given a Gideon’s New Testament and began to read the Book of Revelation. A series of events led Jeremy to meet a local Christian artist in the Bala area whose work at that time (1991) was based on the Book of Revelation. This Christian presented the gospel to Jeremy and he trusted in Jesus Christ as his own Lord and Saviour.
Jeremy returned to N Ireland 3 years later and began studying at Belfast Bible College in 1995. Around this time he met Suzanne and also began part time work with Mission Africa (then, Qua Iboe Fellowship). Jeremy & Suzanne were married in 1998 and began pastoring in Bangor FM Church in 2002, where they ministered for 18 years.
Pastor Jeremy & Pastor Norman Morrell were ordained together in Bangor FMC and kept in contact with each other over the years.
Suzanne was born and brought up in Nigeria, West Africa, for the first 17 years of her life. Her parents were missionaries in Nigeria, involved in church planting, discipleship and Bible translation. Suzanne became a Christian around the age of 7 after she had been with her mum to a local church in Glengormley. Upon returning home from the church service Suzanne told her mum that she wanted to trust in Jesus. Years later Suzanne realised that the service had been in the Free Methodist Church there. Suzanne studied at the University of Ulster Art College in Belfast and gained a teaching certificate from Coleraine. She currently works in a ceramic studio. You will see her most Sundays leading the singing in one of the Sunday services.
Jeremy & Suzanne have been involved in a number of short-term mission trips to Nigeria & India, sometimes leading and other times as part of a team. They enjoy meeting people from all backgrounds and nationalities.
